US-based investment adviser financier Focus Financial Partners is planning to sell some of its international wealth management businesses, according to sources with knowledge of the situation and investor materials viewed by Citywire.
In a recent summary of the company’s recent financial performance circulated with private investors, Focus said ‘efforts [were] progressing to optimize the portfolio, rationalize international holdings, and drive consolidation.’
A source with knowledge of the situation said Focus may prioritise a sale of Octogone Group, a Geneva-based wealth manager with roughly $6.2bn (CHF 5bn) in client assets which Focus added as a partner firm in 2022.
