BLKB CEO and chair to quit bank earlier

Basellandschaftliche Kantonalbank (BLKB) has announced that chair of the board of directors, Thomas Schneider, and CEO, John Häfelfinger, will step down at the end of July.

The pair were set to leave in 2026, but they will now depart sooner.

‘The discussion surrounding me has reached a point where factual content is increasingly taking a back seat,’ said Schneider.
