Patrick Von Känel has spent more than three-quarters of his life chasing the dream of flight. With over 10,000 flights under his belt, he finds himself at Citywire’s Andermatt event, faced with the challenge of presenting his lifetime passion in just 40 minutes.
It all began when, bored and restless, a 14-year-old Von Känel took his first unofficial flight using his mother’s paraglider. His parents, realising they couldn’t hold him back, decided it would be safer for him to learn within the structure of a flight school. That decision set him on the path that would define his life.
Despite his job being most people’s ultimate phobia, his presentations regularly stun his audience.
