Ex-Vontobel executive takes senior post at global asset manager

Rémi Casals has joined First Eagle Investments as head of international wealth solutions and executive managing director.

Casals leads the team responsible for the firm’s international wholesale distribution business, Citywire understands. This comprises around $10bn (CHF 8.3bn) in assets through its partnership with Amundi Asset Management and its Ireland-based ICAV investment offerings.

He joins the firm’s partnership committee and reports directly to CEO and president Mehdi Mahmud.
