Swiss asset managers face margin pressure despite growth

Strong assets under management growth has masked margin compression in the Swiss asset management industry in recent years.

The industry recorded a 5.5% growth rate last year and a 25% growth in AUM between 2020 and 2024.

However, key financial indicators reflect structural margin compression, according to a new study by the Asset Management Association Switzerland and Zeb Consulting.
